We got this season going this past week with Park City Twilight and the Freber Classic. It was fun to get to see you all race, and it will be more fun to see you improve throughout the season. We have a lot of work to do, but we started off pretty well. Congrats to Brooklyn Tarr for her 2nd place finish at PC and overall win at Freber!
This week we have school starting, a full week of training, and the UIAAA Invite at Spanish Fork Sports Complex on Saturday morning.
With school starting you will need to manage time, sleep, and nutrition well. Be aware of this and do your best, so that you can come to practice each day prepared and have a good experience in our competitions as well. 9th graders, please get to practice ASAP, since we are holding it 35 minutes later mostly for you to attend. Everyone needs to be at practice every day and work schedules and anything else should be planned as to not interfere with practice times. Plan on 2 hours each day for practice.
We appreciate the Anderson, Burgess, Lund, and Meservy families for hosting our team dinner last week, and all who attended. We also appreciate all of the those who brought after race treats for the team both races, as well as those who came to cheer and support.
We will have a Team Dinner hosted by the Waite, Jeffs, Butterfield, and Torres families on Thursday night at 6:00pm at (14134 Lowe Peak Circle). Athletes are encouraged to bring $2 to contribute.
