Team

Region Championships went very well for our Girls team, while our Boys team seemed to struggle competing, hopefully a lesson learned for our boys.  The girls had big improvements and we just flat dominated both Varsity and JV, with Varsity winning back to back titles.  Cailey Bracken had a dominating win, with Elayna 2nd, Taylor, 5th, and Brooklyn 6th.  Cambree was the JV Champ with Akaeylia 2nd, Ashlyn 4th, Brea 5th, Kelsie 9th, and Nikki 10th.  If you look at the "Cool Nerd Report" almost everyone on the team who ran at Pre-Region and Region showed improvement, some were big improvements!  Great job Sentinels!

Divisional Champions are Tuesday afternoon for us.  This is how we qualify for State!  Our Boy's race in the 6A A race at 12:30pm and the Girl's team races in the 6A B race at 2:00pm.  Top 9 teams in each A nd B races will go to State on October 25th.  

Coach Barnes will excuse the top 10 boys and girls for Tuesday, and only those other athletes on the team that have continued to come to practice everyday since Region.  If you are one of those athletes, then let Coach Barnes know if you would like to come support, and can afford to miss school on Tuesday afternoon.

We will have a team dinner on Monday at 6:00 p.m. at 13603 Blayde Drive, and it will be hosted by the Callahan, Winterton, Horsley, and Belcher families.  Athletes are encouraged to bring $2 to contribute or venmo will be available.  This is for the whole team. 

Thanks to the Lewis, Phipps, Jackson, Myers, and Schwebach families for hosting our dinner last week.  Thanks to the parents who brought after race treats for the athletes on Wednesday at the Region Championships! And we especially thank those who came to support and cheer on the athletes at Region!

(1850 W 400 S).  Bus will leave at 10:50 a.m.

12:30pm 6A Boys A Race

Thursday - Monarch Meadows Park @ 3:30 p.m.
