XC is underway!

The season is underway and we have a very full week of XC this week!

Time Trials are Monday night at 8:00pm at the Mountain Ridge Stadium  Please invite your family to join us and watch the races.  We will introduce the coaches and athletes, have a short parent meeting, and watch the girls and then the boys race 2 miles on the track under the lights. We are encouraging social distancing and masks for spectators in the stands for both safety reasons and procedures.  In the past we have had refreshments afterward, but due to guidelines put out by the Health Department we will not be doing that this year.  

Athletes need to come ready to race on Monday.  Bring your spikes to race in if you have some and bring a water bottle.  We would encourage you to eat a lighter dinner beforehand  with plenty of time to digest so that you can race well.  Stay hydrated throughout the day!

Thanks to all those who came and helped with and/or participated in the Sentinel Relays on Saturday!  We had a good time and the athletes did very well!

Those who need to finish eligibility or need a uniform need to take care of this by Tuesday in order to race on Thursday at Pre-Region.  Also Strava needs up be updated and cleaned up in order to race.  You should have also hit your required mileage in order to race.  Last week to submit mileage, so please get it all updated ASAP!

We have a team dinner on Wednesday at the Park on 13000 South and 5900 West in Herriman at 6:00pm.  This will be put on by the Peterson, Priestley, Hall, and Turley families.  Athletes are encouraged to bring $2 to contribute.

Schedule 
Monday - Time Trials at Sentinel Stadium @ 8:00pm- 10:00pm

Tuesday - Rosecrest Park @ 7:30 a.m.

Wednesday -  Rosecrest Park @ 3:30 p.m.

Thursday - Pre-Region at Mountain View High (Orem Community Park), buses will leave the HS on the north side at 3:45pm.  We will take 2 buses and athletes need to have masks on the bus ride.

• 6:00pm JV and Rookie Boys
• 6:30pm Open Girls
• 7:00pm Open Boys

We are encouraging spectators to social distance and wear a mask when appropriate.

Friday - Rosecrest Park @ 3:30 p.m

Saturday - Viking Invite at Pleasant Grove High. Buses will leave at 6:25 a.m.

UA Team Legacy Jackets are $75 and need to be purchased through the school and sizes and receipt shown to Coach Barnes. There are Men's size S-L and Women's size XS-M.  Everything else can be purchased through the store.
