Last Week of Summer, August 5-10

We had a great camp last week with those who attended.  The season starts this week and we need everyone to step it up and get back on track. This is our last week of morning practices and they will be mixed or afternoon starting next week.

Eligibly should have been taken care of by Friday last week, but the majority of you still have not done it. We talked about getting this done all summer and asked the parents to get this done in May at the athlete/parent meeting!  This includes: RMA completed, and 4th Q Report Card, Birth Certificate, and Physical uploaded to RMA. Everyone should say "ready for tryouts".  Fees will be added to those who are completed to that point, we cannot add fees until RMA is completed and ready for tryouts.  Fees then need to be paid, including a uniform fee if needed.  If you are a returner and need a uniform or part of one, let Coach Barnes know ASAP.

Because we have very few athletes that have done this, we have to cancel Time Trials this week and not attend the Premier Invite on Saturday.  Pre-Region will be August 13th now (details to follow), so everyone has to be eligible by Thursday this week, and all fees and uniforms paid for by Monday next week in order to be on the team and compete this season.  Please get this done ASAP!

We will do a 3 mile Time Trial at Wardle Regional Park in Bluffdale on Saturday morning with the Boy's race starting at 7:00 a.m. and the Girl's going directly after. Athletes need to be at the park no later than 6:30 a.m. to warm up.  Girls should be able to run under 30 minutes in a 3 mile and Boys under 26 minutes, this is a minimum standard, and might be applied to athletes for being able to compete during the season.   Families are welcome to come watch and cheer. The course will be 3 x 1 mile loops.  We  would love for families to bring a breakfast food/drink to share for afterwards.  Suggestions: fruit, bagels, muffins, juice, chocolate milk, etc..
