We will have practice Monday and Tuesday this week. Wednesday through Tuesday next week is UHSAA Moratorium where no sports are allowed to hold practices. You should still be training on your own at this time and putting in some good mileage.
We are still missing about 20 athletes on the team groupme, so please ads those who aren't on yet.
Sentinel XC Team Camp will be July 25-27. More details to follow, but we will be traveling by bus and staying in dorms in Central Utah. It will be an awesome camp again! HERE is the link, please answer if you are planning on going or not. Only 31 of the 70 kids have answered either way so far, and we need numbers ASAP.
Please get your mileage reported ASAP, if you haven't already done so. This should have been done already!
Some of you are roller coastering your mileage and this will either get you behind, or beat you up and get you injured. 7 weeks left of the summer and some of you are already in mileage debt. Consistency is the key! Returners should be hitting 6 days a week and rookies 5 days, every week, regardless of if you are at practice or on some vacation. Don't slack during moratorium! A rookie that showed up to practice everyday would be at 55-60 miles and a returner would be at over 80.
The team store is up until the end of the month if you want gear. HERE is the link. The orders will be processed once the store closes.
Also, we need to make sure we are taking good care of our bodies so we don't get beat up (drinking plenty of water, stretching, rolling out, getting enough sleep, eating healthy, eating enough, etc..). If you are having any issues please talk to the coaches so we can help you before it turns into something bigger.
