Congrats to our Run Gr8 Runners of the Week!

Region Championships were a little on the rough side for us this year as a whole, and we have a lot of room for improvement.  We did have Brooklyn Tarr (8th) place top 10 in the varsity girls race, Alli Kirkham and Addi Carter were 6th and 7th in the JV Girls race.  The Girl's team ended up 3rd place and the Boy's were 5th.  As a whole we saw improvements from most athletes from pre-Region to Region, but we should see big improvements from almost 100% of the athletes because that is the beginning vs. the end of the season.  We seemed to struggle competing in this race, but hopefully a lesson is learned and we can move forward and be more competitive in our future races.  A lot of our rookie class did well too, which is exciting for the future.  

Divisional Champions are next Tuesday at Lakeside Park in Orem.  This is how we qualify for State!  Our Girl's team races in the 6A A race at 3:00pm and Boy's race in the 6A A race at 3:20pm.  Top 7 teams in each A and B races will go to State on October 30th.  We will run our top 7 athletes in each race, depending on who that is in the next week.

Thanks to the the Britton, Kirkham, Beutler, and King families for hosting our dinner last week.  Thanks to the parents who brought after race treats for the athletes on Wednesday at the Region Championships! And we especially thank those who came to support and cheer on the athletes at Region!
