We had a great meet at the Sanpete Classic last week, it was great weather, a great course, and very well run. It was fun to see our team do so well, with both the boys and girls winning the varsity race, two overall race wins, and several top 10 medal finishes.
This week we will head to the TwiKnight Invite at Art Dye Park in American Fork on Friday. This will be our last meet before the Region Championships on October 4. We know it is Homecoming and there is no school on Friday, so please plan activities and dates around the meet and be wise in these activities so you can race well and stay healthy and safe.
Also, a lot of illness has been floating around and has hit the team pretty hard. Please take care of your bodies and make sure you are doing your best not to get sick and not to pass it to others on the team.
Thanks to the the Ballard, Bytheway, Stoddart, and Jarrett families for hosting last week's dinner. Thanks to all those who brought or sent after race treats for the team, as well as those who made the drive to cheer and support at the meet in Fairview.
We will have a Team Dinner on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., hosted by the Haynie, Sayre, Peterson, and Belcher families, (11402 S. Herriman View Way). Athletes are encouraged to bring a couple of dollars to contribute.
