Divisional Championships and October 11-16

Region Championships went well for our team with the girls winning the Region and the boys taking 2nd to a very good Riverton team.  JV girls also won and JV boys were 3rd.  It was fun to see a lot of the team race hard and have some big improvements.  In fact, if you look at the "Cool Nerd Report" everyone on the team who ran at Pre-Region and Region showed improvement, as mentioned before, some were big improvements!  Great job Sentinels!

Divional Champions are Tuesday morning for us.  Our Girls team races in the B race at 9:30am and the Boys team is in the A race at 10:00am.  Top 9 teams in each race will go to State on October 27th.  Plan on nasty cold weather!

Coach Barnes will excuse the top 10 boys and girls for Tuesday, and only those other athletes on the team that have continued to come to practice everyday since Region.  If you are one of those athletes, then let Coach Barnes know if you would like to come support, and can afford to miss school most of Tuesday.

We will have a team dinner on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at 14738 Quiet Glen Drive, Herriman and it will be hosted by the Zundel, Hall, Wiet, and Bosen families.  Athletes are encouraged to bring $2 to contribute. 

Thanks to the Bracken, Loveridge, and Barnes families for hosting our dinner last week.  Thanks to the parents who brought after race treats for the athletes on Wednesday at the Region Championships.

Thursday - Butterfield Park @ 3:25 p.m.

Friday - Monarch Meadows Park @ 3:25 p.m.
